GSP. S. 1900 (introduced May 27 by Sen. Casey, D-Pa.) would modify the eligibility requirements for the Generalized System of Preferences to strengthen worker protections and ensure that beneficiary developing countries afford equal rights and protection under the law, regardless of gender.
China. S. 1924 (introduced May 27 by Sen. Daines, R-Mont.) would direct the president to enforce the intellectual property provisions of the economic and trade agreement between the U.S. and China.
E-Commerce. The Stopping Harmful Offers on Platforms by Screening Against Fakes in E-Commerce Act (S. 1843, introduced May 26 by Sen. Coons, D-Del.) would establish trademark liability for e-commerce platforms when a third party sells a counterfeit product that poses a risk to consumer health or safety and that platform does not follow certain best practices.
Exports. S. 1846 (introduced May 26 by Sen. Cornyn, R-Texas) would require a review and controls on the export of items with critical capabilities to enable human rights abuses.
Investment. S. 1854 (introduced May 26 by Sen. Casey, D-Pa.) would require reviews of U.S. investment in foreign countries that may threaten national critical capabilities.
Cuba. H.R. 3625 (introduced May 28 by Rep. Rush, D-Ill.) would lift the trade embargo on Cuba.
Firearms. The Crime Gun Tracing Modernization Act (S. 1801, introduced May 25 by Sen. Leahy, D-Vt., and H.R. 3536, introduced May 25 by Rep. Pascrell, D-N.J.) would require an electronic, searchable database of the importation, production, shipment, receipt, sale, or other disposition of firearms.
Basketballs. H.R. 3501 (introduced May 25 by Rep. Guthrie, R-Ky.) would provide for permanent duty-free treatment on imports of basketballs.
