Import tariffs. Legislation introduced July 19 in the House (H.R. 4534) and Senate (S. 2378) would impose tariffs on imports of aluminum, iron, steel, cement, and other goods that are both carbon-intensive and exposed to trade competition. Click here for more information.

Exports. H.R. 4561 (introduced June 20 by Rep. Gimenez, R-Fla.) would require the Department of Commerce to certify, before removing an entity from the Entity List, that the entity is no longer involved in activities contrary to U.S. national security or foreign policy interests and that such removal does not pose a threat to U.S. allies.
