The Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements has received a request from the government of Korea to consider whether the rules of origin in the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement for certain woven fabrics should be modified to allow the use of certain textured and non-textured triacetate filament yarns that are not originating under KORUS.
CITA is accepting comments through Jan. 5 on whether these yarns can be supplied by the U.S. domestic industry in commercial quantities in a timely manner.
