The Bureau of Industry and Security has issued a temporary general license suspending through June 30 the restrictions imposed earlier this month on exports, reexports and in-country transfers of items subject to the Export Administration Regulations to China’s ZTE Corporation and one of its affiliates, ZTA Kangxun Telecommunications Ltd.

These restrictions will remain in place for two other ZTE affiliates: Beijing 8 Star International Co. and ZTE Parsian. Effective March 8, U.S. companies, research institutions and individuals were required to cease shipments of subject goods, software and technology to these entities. In addition, foreign suppliers were required to cease shipments of foreign-origin goods with more than 25 percent U.S.-origin controlled content to these entities.
