Tariff-Rate Quota for Imported Tuna Increased for 2020

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced the calendar year 2020 tariff-rate quota quantity for tuna fish in airtight containers. Specifically, CBP has determined that 15,881,292 kilograms of tuna (up from 14,945,117 in 2019) may be entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption during the period Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2020, at the six percent duty rate under HTSUS 1604.14.22. Excess amounts will be dutiable at a rate of 12.5 percent under HTSUS 1604.14.30.
