IPR Enforcement: Toner Cartridges, Desks, LED Lighting and Displays, Video Receivers
Toner Cartridges. The International Trade Commission has amended patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1106 of toner cartridges and components thereof to remove one respondent, add one respondent, and remove several patent claims asserted by complainants Canon U.S.A. Inc. and Canon Virginia Inc.
Height-Adjustable Desks. The ITC has instituted investigation 337-TA-1125 to determine whether imports of height-adjustable desk platforms and components thereof are violating Section 337 of the 1930 Tariff Act by reason of patent infringement.
Complainant Varidesk LLC requests that after this investigation the ITC issue a general exclusion order, which would direct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to prohibit the entry of infringing products into the U.S., and cease and desist orders, which would require the named respondents to cease actions that violate Section 337, including selling infringing imported articles out of U.S. inventory. The respondents in this investigation are located in China and the U.S.
LED Lighting. The ITC has terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1081 of LED lighting devices, LED power supplies, and components thereof with respect to one entire patent and other patent claims at the request of complainants Phillips Lighting North America Corp. and Phillips Lighting Holding B.V.
Modular LED Panels. The ITC has terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1114 of modular LED display panels and components thereof with respect to two respondents on the basis of a confidential standstill agreement with complainant Ultravision Technologies LLC.
Digital Video Receivers. The ITC has terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1103 of digital video receivers and related hardware and software components with respect to one patent and certain other patent claims at the request of complainants Rovi Corporation, Rovi Guides Inc., Rovi Technologies Corporation, and Veveo Inc.
