Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is accepting comments through Dec. 17 on the proposed extension without change of the application for extension of bond for temporary importation. Imported goods that are to remain in the U.S. customs territory for one year or less without the payment of duties are entered as a temporary importation, as authorized under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States. When this time period is not sufficient, it may be extended by submitting an application on CBP Form 3173.
