Imports of Star Apples from Vietnam Authorized

Effective Jan. 19, the Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has authorized the importation into the continental U.S. of fresh star apple fruit from Vietnam subject to the following phytosanitary measures.

- the fruit must be imported as commercial consignments only

- each consignment must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the national plant protection organization of Vietnam

- each consignment must be treated in accordance with 7 CFR part 305 prior to arrival in the U.S.

- each consignment is subject to inspection upon arrival at the U.S. port of entry
