AD/CV: Sinks, Steel Wire Rod, Xanthan Gum
Steel Sinks. In the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping duty order on drawn stainless steel sinks from China for the period April 1, 2014, through March 31, 2015, the International Trade Administration has determined a weighted average dumping margin of 1.65 percent for three reviewed producers/exporters. AD duties based on this rate will be assessed on entries of subject goods during the period of review, and AD cash deposits at this rate will be required for subject goods entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after Aug. 15.
The ITA also determined that several companies are part of the China-wide entity and will receive the corresponding rate (76.45 percent) and that Kehuaxing Industrial Ltd. made no shipments of subject goods during the period of review.
Steel Wire Rod. The ITA is revoking the AD duty orders on stainless steel wire rod from Italy and Spain effective June 17, 2015.
The ITA is also continuing the AD duty orders on stainless steel wire rod from Japan, Korea and Taiwan for five years, effective Aug. 15. These orders cover products that are hot-rolled or hot-rolled annealed and/or pickled and/or descaled rounds, squares, octagons, hexagons or other shapes, in coils, that may also be coated with a lubricant containing copper, lime or oxalate. SSWR is made of alloy steels containing, by weight, 1.2 percent or less of carbon and 10.5 percent or more of chromium, with or without other elements. The majority of SSWR sold in the U.S. is round in cross-sectional shape, annealed and pickled, and later cold-finished into stainless steel wire or small-diameter bar. Subject goods are currently classifiable under HTSUS subheadings 7221.00.0005, 7221.00.0015, 7221.00.0030, 7221.00.0045 and 7221.00.0075.
Xanthan Gum. In its administrative review of the AD duty order on xanthan gum from China for the period July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2015, the ITA has preliminarily determined weighted average dumping margins of zero to 154.07 percent for five reviewed exporters. The ITA has also preliminarily determined that three companies had no reviewable U.S. sales during the period of review and rescinded this review with respect to Inner Mongolia Jianlong Biochemical Co. Ltd.
