Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements has determined to add 100 percent rayon twill challis fabric classifiable under HTSUS subheadings 5516.12.0020, 5516.13.0000, 5516.14.0025, and 5516.14.0030 to the short supply list in Annex 3-B of the U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement in unrestricted quantity.

CITA determined that this fabric is not available in commercial quantities in a timely manner in either the U.S. or Colombia. As a result, apparel made in Colombia with this fabric, regardless of its origin, may be imported duty-free as of Nov. 28.

If your company is interested in exploring a short supply petition under this or any other FTA, please contact Nicole Bivens Collinson or Mark Tallo.
