Apparel Rule of Origin Changes Considered for Bahrain FTA

The Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements has received a request from the government of Bahrain to modify the U.S.-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement rules of origin for certain knit and woven apparel to allow the use of certain knit and woven fabrics that are not originating under the FTA. CITA is accepting comments through July 21 on whether these fabrics can be supplied by the U.S. domestic industry in commercial quantities in a timely manner.
