Raspberry Import Assessments Terminated. The Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service has issued a final rule that, effective Feb. 21, removes the requirement for eligible importers of processed raspberries to pay an assessment of one cent per pound. AMS will terminate the remaining provisions of the Raspberry Promotion, Research, and Information Order and associated regulations at a later date following a vote in which a majority of eligible importers and domestic producers favored terminating this order.

New Import Assessments on Frozen Mangos. The AMS has issued a final rule that, effective March 25, will add frozen mangos as a covered commodity under the Mango Promotion, Research, and Information Order. As a result, importers will be assessed one cent per pound on frozen mangos.
