Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

Pipe and Tube. The International Trade Commission has scheduled an expedited sunset review of the antidumping duty order on light-walled rectangular pipe and tube from Taiwan. Written comments are due no later than June 28. This review will result in either the revocation or continuation of this order.

Biodiesel. The ITC has made preliminary affirmative AD and CV injury determinations on biodiesel from Argentina and Indonesia. As a result, the International Trade Administration will continue its AD and CV duty investigations, with preliminary determinations due by June 16 (CV) and Aug. 30 (AD).

Steel Plate. The ITC has made final affirmative AD injury determinations on carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan and a final affirmative CV injury determination on such goods from Korea. As a result, the ITA will issue AD and/or CV duty orders on these goods.

The ITC also made negative critical circumstances determinations with respect to imports from Austria, Belgium, and Italy. As a result, such goods that entered the U.S. prior to Nov. 14, 2016, will not be subject to retroactive AD duties.
