IPR Enforcement: Personal Transporters, Integrated Circuits, Hand Dryers

Personal Transporters. The International Trade Commission is considering the termination of patent and/or trademark infringement investigations 337-TA-1007 and -1021 of personal transporters and components thereof with respect to one respondent on the basis of a consent order with complainants Segway Inc., DEKA Products Limited Partnership, and Ninebot (Tianjin) Technology Co. Ltd. The ITC notes that the proposed order contains various errors and requests a corrected version to be submitted by Feb. 27.

Integrated Circuits. The ITC has terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-982 of RF capable integrated circuits and products containing same with respect to the remaining claims of two patents based on complainant ParkerVision Inc.’s withdrawal of its allegations pertaining to those claims. Only one patent now remains subject to this investigation.

Hand Dryers. In trade dress infringement investigation 337-TA-1015 of hand dryers and housings for hand dryers the ITC has found the four remaining respondents in default for failure to respond to the complaint and notice of investigation.
