Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

Ripe Olives. The International Trade Commission has scheduled the final phase of its antidumping and countervailing injury investigations of ripe olives from Spain. A hearing will be held May 24, requests to appear at the hearing are due by May 18, pre-hearing briefs are due by May 17, post-hearing briefs are due by June 1, and final comments are due by July 6. If the ITC’s final determinations are affirmative, the International Trade Administration will issue AD and CV duty orders on this product.

Steel Wire Rod. The ITC has made final affirmative AD injury determinations on carbon and alloy steel wire rod from South Africa and Ukraine. As a result, the ITA will issue AD duty orders on these products. The ITC also made a negative critical circumstances determination with regard to imports from South Africa, which will therefore not be subject to retroactive AD duties.

Polyester Staple Fiber. The ITC has made final affirmative CV injury determinations on fine denier PSF from China and India. As a result, the ITA will issue CV duty orders on these products.
