IPR Enforcement: Memory Devices, Two-Way Radios, DC-DC Controllers

Memory Devices. The International Trade Commission has terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1046 of non-volatile memory devices and products containing same with respect to certain patent claims asserted by complainants Macronix International Co. Ltd. and Macronix America Inc. based on the withdrawal of their allegations pertaining to those claims.

Two-Way Radios. The ITC has terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1053 of two-way radio equipment and systems, related software, and components thereof with respect to one patent claim asserted by complainant Motorola Solutions Inc. based on the withdrawal of its allegation pertaining to that claim.

DC-DC Controllers. In an enforcement proceeding relating to patent infringement investigation 337-TA-698 of DC-DC controllers and products containing same, the ITC has determined to rescind its August 2010 consent order based on a settlement agreement between complainants Richtek Technology Corp. and Richtek USA Inc. and the respondent. However, the ITC has also determined not to rescind an order imposing a $650,000 civil penalty for the respondent’s violation of that consent order.
