Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

Magnesium Metal. In the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping duty order on magnesium metal from China for the period April 1, 2014, through March 31, 2015, the International Trade Administration has determined that Tianjin Magnesium International Co. Ltd. and Tianjin Magnesium Metal Co. Ltd. had no reviewable entries of subject goods during this period. As a result, any suspended entries of subject goods that entered under TMI’s or TMM’s AD case numbers (i.e., at that exporter’s rate) will be liquidated at the China-wide rate. In addition, the AD cash deposit rates for these two companies will remain unchanged from those assigned in the most recently completed administrative review.

Garment Hangers. The ITA has rescinded its administrative review of the AD duty order on steel wire garment hangers from Vietnam for the period Feb. 1, 2015, through Jan. 31, 2016, after the petitioners withdrew their request for review for all 67 companies listed in the initiation notice. The ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to assess AD duties on all appropriate entries of subject goods at the AD cash deposit rates required at the time of entry or withdrawal from warehouse for consumption.
