Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Department of Energy has received an application from Eagle LNG Partners Jacksonville II LLC requesting long-term, multi-contract authorization to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas in a volume equivalent to 7.7 million cubic feet per day for a 20-year term. This LNG would be exported from the company’s LNG production and storage facility in Jacksonville, Fla., which is anticipated to begin commercial operation in September, to any country with which trade is not prohibited by U.S. law or policy. This would include both countries with which the U.S. has a free trade agreement requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas as well as all other countries.

Protests, motions to intervene, notices of intervention, and written comments are due by Aug. 4.
