Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports that starting July 3 electronics are being added to the list of imports processed at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas. This change is part of CBP’s continuing efforts to restore full operations at the bridge following significant damage from a May 21 storm.

CBP still anticipates a July 5 start date for temporary office facilities in modular buildings. A separate modular building for the Food and Drug Administration will be delivered July 6 and should become operational July 17. Completion of a refurbished permanent facility and a return to full operations at that facility are expected in October.

CBP notes that hours of operation for the July 4th holiday will be the same as a normal weekday at both the World Trade Bridge and the Colombia Solidarity Bridge.
