Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service is accepting comments through June 22 on information collections associated with the importation of fruits, vegetables, and specialty crops that are exempt from import regulations under section 8e of the Agricultural Marketing Agreement Act of 1937. Importers wishing to import exempt commodities must use the electronic or paper version of form SC-6, Importer’s Exempt Commodity Form. The information collected includes information on the imported product (type of product and lot identification), the importer’s contact information, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection entry number, inspection date, and intended use (processing, charity, livestock/animal feed).
