USDA Reviewing Information Collections on Irradiation of Imported Produce

The Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is inviting comments through Jan. 11 on information collections associated with the use of irradiation as a phytosanitary treatment for certain imported fruits and vegetables. These collections include compliance agreements, 30-day notifications, packaging labeling, dosimetry recordings, requests for dosimetry device approval, recordkeeping, requests for facility approval, work plans, trust fund agreements, phytosanitary certificates, and denial and withdrawal certifications.
