Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Environmental Protection Agency has issued a final rule that, effective June 26, 2018, will amend its regulations regarding the export and import of hazardous wastes. Specifically, this rule will apply a confidentiality determination such that no person can assert confidential business information claims for documents related to the export, import, and transit of hazardous waste and export of excluded cathode ray tubes. The EPA states that it is making these changes to apply a consistent approach in addressing confidentiality claims for export and import documentation.
