Foreign Regulatory Changes Could Affect Exports of Vehicles, Beverages, Road Signs

According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the World Trade Organization has been notified of regulatory changes that may affect exports of specific products to the following countries. For information on how these restrictions may affect your business, contact ST&R.

Canada – March 21 adoption of amended regulations on motor vehicle safety (effective approximately May 21)

Colombia – April 16 effective date of decree on spirits, wines, beer, cigarettes and similar products

Ecuador – draft technical regulation on road signs (comments due by June 26)

Switzerland – draft ordinance on active substances used in biocidal products (comments due by June 15)
