Export Regulations Updated to Reflect Arms Embargo, Other Changes

The Bureau of Industry and Security has issued a final rule that, effective Nov. 4, makes the following amendments to the Export Administration Regulations.

- implements the termination of the United Nations arms embargoes against Liberia and Côte d’Ivoire

- removes U.S. arms embargo-related controls on Sri Lanka, to reflect the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2016, and Vietnam, reflecting the termination of the U.S. arms embargo against that country

- recognizes the accession of India as a member of the Missile Technology Control Regime
