Export Committees on Materials Processing Equipment, Transportation Equipment to Meet

Materials Processing Equipment. The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Materials Processing Equipment Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting May 16 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials processing equipment and related technology.

The open session of this meeting will include a discussion on the results and proposals from the last Wassenaar Arrangement meeting and a report on proposed and recently issued changes to the Export Administration Regulations. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to join this conference are due by May 9. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at the public session.

Transportation Equipment. The BIS Transportation and Related Equipment Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting May 10 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to transportation and related equipment or technology.

The open session of this meeting will include status reports by working group chairs. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to join this conference are due by May 3. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at this session.
