Friday, March 28, 2014
Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Department of Energy has issued a final rule adopting more stringent energy conservation standards for some classes of commercial refrigeration equipment. The DOE has determined that the amended standards, which consist of maximum daily energy consumption values as a function of either refrigerated volume or total display area, would result in significant conservation of energy and are technologically feasible and economically justified. These standards will apply to all specified equipment manufactured in or imported into the U.S. on or after March 27, 2017.
