The International Trade Commission has recently announced the following actions in intellectual property rights infringement investigations.

Data storage tapes – rescission of limited exclusion orders and cease and desist orders issued in patent infringement investigations 337-TA-1012, 337-TA-1058, and 337-TA-1076 of magnetic data storage tapes and cartridges containing the same in light of a settlement agreement and patent cross-license between the respondents and complainants Fujifilm Corporation and Fujifilm Recording Media U.S.A. Inc.

Digital video receivers – decision to review finding of violation in patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1103 of digital video receivers and related hardware and software components and Aug. 29 deadline for comments on (1) the form of remedy, if any, that should be ordered, (2) the effects of any such remedy on the public interest, and (3) the amount of the bond under which infringing articles could continue to enter the U.S. during the 60-day period the president has to review any ITC-ordered remedy

Earpiece devices – decision to review initial determination of violation in patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1121 of earpiece devices and components thereof and Aug. 28 deadline for comments on (1) the form of remedy, if any, that should be ordered, (2) the effects of any such remedy on the public interest, and (3) the amount of the bond under which infringing articles could continue to enter the U.S. during the 60-day period the president has to review any ITC-ordered remedy

Gas spring nailers – decision to review final determination of no violation in patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1082 of gas spring nailer products and components thereof

Mobile devices – new patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1170 of mobile devices with multifunction emulators (complainant Dynamics Inc., respondents located in Korea and the U.S.)
