Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has extended through March 20 the period for public comments on an interim final rule establishing the Centers of Excellence and Expertise as a permanent organizational component of CBP and transitioning certain additional trade functions to the Centers.

CBP is accepting written data, views, or arguments on all aspects of this rule as well as comments that relate to its potential economic, environmental, or federalism effects. CBP states that comments referencing a specific portion of the rule, explaining the reason for any recommended change, and including data, information, or authority that supports any such change will be particularly useful.
