Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

New Investigations. The International Trade Commission has instituted the following investigations to determine whether imports of the products indicated are violating Section 337 of the 1930 Tariff Act by reason of patent infringement.

- investigation 337-TA-1134 of sleep-disordered breathing treatment mask systems and components thereof (complainants ResMed Corp., ResMed Inc., and ResMed Ltd.; respondents located in New Zealand and the U.S.)

- investigation 337-TA-1135 of strength-training systems and components thereof (complainant Hoist Fitness Systems Inc.; respondents located in China and the U.S.)

In each case the complainant requests that after the investigation the ITC issue a limited exclusion order, which would direct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to prohibit the entry of infringing products into the U.S., and cease and desist orders, which would require the named respondents to cease actions that violate Section 337, including selling infringing imported articles out of U.S. inventory.

Modular LED Display Panels. The ITC has terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1114 of modular LED display panels and components thereof with respect to two respondents based on a consent order with complainant Ultravision Technologies LLC.
