The International Trade Commission has recently announced the following actions in intellectual property rights infringement investigations.

Battery cells – termination of patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1179 of pouch-type battery cells, battery modules, and battery packs, components thereof, and products containing the same with respect to six patent claims upon motion by complainants SK Innovation Co. Ltd. and SK Battery America Inc.
LCD devices – new IPR infringement complaint filed on liquid crystal display devices, components thereof, and products containing the same and May 5 deadline for comments on public interest issues raised by this complaint
Lighters – in investigation 337-TA-1142 of pocket lighters, May 8 deadline for comments on (1) the form of remedy, if any that should be ordered, (2) the effects of any such remedy on the public health and welfare, competitive conditions in the U.S. economy, U.S. production of articles that are like or directly competitive with the subject goods, and U.S. consumers, and (3) the amount of the bond under which infringing articles could continue to enter the U.S. during the 60-day period the president has to review any ITC-ordered remedy
Movable barriers – in investigation 337-TA-1118 of movable barrier operation systems and components thereof, finding of no violation as to two patents asserted by complainant The Chamberlain Group Inc. and remand for further proceedings as to another patent
