Arms Export Regulations Amended to Implement Defense Trade Treaty with Australia

The State Department is publishing in the April 11 Federal Register a final rule amending the International Traffic in Arms Regulations to implement the Defense Trade Cooperation Treaty between the United States and Australia. This rule also identifies via a supplement the defense articles and defense services that may not be exported pursuant to this treaty. The new regulations will be effective upon the entry into force of the treaty, and State will publish a notice in the Federal Register announcing that date.
