Import Restrictions on Archaeological Material from Belize Extended

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a final rule extending through Feb. 27, 2023, import restrictions on archaeological material representing the cultural heritage of Belize from the pre-ceramic (approximately 9,000 B.C.), pre-classic, classic, and post-classic periods of the pre-Columbian era through the early and late colonial periods. These materials include ceramic vessels; stone tools, jewelry, art, vessel, figurines, masks, and mirrors; and objects of shell, bone, glass, and wood.
