Foreign Regulatory Changes: Appliances, Pesticides, Sunflower Seeds, Soybeans

According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the World Trade Organization has been notified of regulatory changes that may affect exports of specific products to the following countries. For information on how these restrictions may affect your business, contact ST&R.

Argentina – maximum energy consumption levels and/or minimum energy efficiency labels for electric washing machines, refrigerators and freezers for household use

Colombia – technical regulation on fuel gas supply facilities issued Oct. 24 and will enter into force April 25, 2015

El Salvador – maximum residue limits for chemical pesticides on fruits and vegetables (comments due by Dec. 25)

South Africa – sunflower seeds and soya beans, whether or not broken (comments due by Dec. 31)
