Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

Aluminum Foil. The International Trade Administration has made preliminary affirmative AD and CV duty determinations on aluminum foil from China. The ITA found weighted average dumping margins of 48.64 percent to 106.09 percent and subsidy rates of 17.14 percent to 80.97 percent. The ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to begin collecting AD and CV cash deposits at the preliminary rates, except that the AD cash deposit rates will be slightly lower due to subsidy adjustments.

Stainless Steel Bar. In the preliminary results of its administrative review of the AD duty order on stainless steel bar from Brazil for the period Feb. 1, 2016, through Jan. 31, 2017, the ITA has determined that Villares Metals S.A. has not made sales of subject goods to the U.S. at less than normal value.

Pure Granular Magnesium. In its sunset review of the AD duty order on pure granular magnesium from China, the International Trade Commission has determined that revocation of this order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the U.S. within a reasonably foreseeable time. As a result, this order will remain in place.
