IPR News: Air Mattresses, Height-Adjustable Desks, Motorized Vehicles

The International Trade Commission has recently announced the following actions in intellectual property rights infringement investigations.

Air mattresses – vacating limited exclusion order issued in patent infringement investigation 337-TA-971 of air mattress systems, components thereof, and methods of using the same and termination of investigation

Height-adjustable desks – in patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1125 of height-adjustable desk platforms and components thereof, issuance of (a) general exclusion order prohibiting the unlicensed importation of platforms that sit on an existing desk or work surface and can be adjusted to different heights that infringe one or more specified patent claims asserted by Varidesk LLC and (b) cease and desist orders prohibiting seven respondents from further importing, selling, and distributing infringing products in the U.S.

Motorized vehicles – initial determination of trade dress infringement in investigation 337-TA-1132 of motorized vehicles and components thereof, recommendation for issuance of limited exclusion order and cease and desist order, and Feb. 7 deadline for public comments on remedy, the public interest, and bonding
