Two Appointed to Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations

President Obama has announced his intent to appoint the following individuals to be members of the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations.

Tamara Lundgren is the president and chief executive officer at Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc., a position she has held since 2008 after joining the company as chief strategy officer in 2005. Earlier in her career she was a managing director for two major financial services firms from 1996 to 2004. Since 2015 she has served as chairman of the executive committee of the board of directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the board of directors of Ryder System Inc., Parsons Corporation and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Portland Branch. 

Inge Thulin has been chairman of the board, president and CEO of 3M Company since 2012. He has held a number of executive and managerial roles at 3M since 1979, including executive vice president and CEO, executive vice president of international operations, and vice president of the Europe and Middle East areas. Mr. Thulin is a member of various boards, including Chevron Corporation, World Childhood Foundation, The Business Council, Business Roundtable and the Council on Foreign Relations.
