The Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is requesting public comment no later than Nov. 22 on data and information concerning a pre-authorization safety audit conducted for one motor carrier that has applied to participate in the pilot program to test and demonstrate the ability of Mexico-domiciled motor carriers to operate safely in the U.S. beyond specified border zones. This program has been upheld by a federal court and is slated to run through October 2014.

According to FMCSA, Road Machinery Co SA de CV successfully completed its PASA and the results of this audit are available here. Several minor violations were found but none were considered grounds for the company to fail the PASA.
