No IPR Import Restrictions on Nutraceutical Products, Rare Earth Magnets

The International Trade Commission has terminated in its entirety, without the imposition of import restrictions, patent infringement investigation 337-TA-857 of certain reduced folate nutraceutical products and L-methylfolate raw ingredients used therein. The ITC took this step after terminating the remaining respondents on the basis of settlement agreements and withdrawal of the complaint by South Alabama Medical Science Foundation, Merck & Cie and Pamlab LLC.

The ITC has also terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-855 of certain sintered rare earth magnets, methods of making same and products containing same after granting a motion by complainants Hitachi Metals Ltd. and Hitachi Metals North Carolina Ltd. to terminate the investigation as to the remaining respondents.
