AD/CV News: HEDP, Hot-Rolled Steel, PET Film, Steel Wire Rod, Wind Towers

The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and countervailing duty cases.

HEDP – rescission of administrative reviews of AD and CV duty orders on 1-hydroxyethylidene-1, 1-diphosphonic acid from China for the periods May 1, 2018, through April 30, 2019, and Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2018, respectively, and instruction to CBP to assess AD and CV duties on such goods at the cash deposit rates

Hot-rolled steel – final determination that (1) Nippon Steel Corporation is the successor-in-interest to Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation, Nippon Steel Nisshin Co. Ltd. is the successor-in-interest to Nisshin Steel Co. Ltd., and Nippon Steel Trading Corporation is the successor-in-interest to Nippon Steel & Sumikin Bussan Corporation and (2) NSC, Nippon Nisshin, and NSTC should be treated as a single entity and receive the same AD cash deposit rate (currently 4.99 percent) as NSSMC, the predecessor company

PET film – rescission of administrative review of AD duty order on polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet, and strip from the United Arab Emirates for the period Nov. 1, 2017, through Oct. 31, 2018, and instruction to CBP to assess AD duties on such goods at the cash deposit rates

Steel wire rod – rescission of administrative review of CV duty order on carbon and alloy steel wire rod from Turkey for the period Sept. 5, 2017, through Dec. 31, 2018, and instruction to CBP to assess CV duties on such goods at the cash deposit rates

Wind towers – rescission of administrative review of AD duty order on utility scale wind towers from China for the period Feb. 1, 2018, through Jan. 31, 2019, and instruction to CBP to assess AD duties on such goods at the cash deposit rates
