The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the State of Hawaii, grantee of FTZ 9, a request for authority to reorganize this zone under the alternative site framework. The proposed service area would be the city and county of Honolulu and the counties of Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui, within and adjacent to the Hilo and Kona (Hawaii), Kahului and Kihei (Maui), Honolulu (Oahu), and, Nawiliwili-Port Allen (Kauai) U.S. Customs and Border Protection ports of entry. Comments on this application are due no later than Aug. 24.

The FTZ Board has received from Eastman Kodak Company a notification of proposed production activity for its facility within FTZ 106 in Weatherford, Okla. Eastman Kodak already has authority to produce flexographic finished plates, aluminum finished printing plates, thermo imaging layer, direct imaging recording film sheets, and direct imaging record film rolls within subzone 106F and the current request would add foreign-status materials and components to the scope of authority. Comments are due no later than Aug. 6.
