Production Requests. The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has approved an expansion of production authority at the Patheon Softgels facility within FTZ 230 in High Point, N.C. Patheon already had authority to produce certain prescription pharmaceutical products and soft gelatin capsules within subzone 230C and the additional FTZ authority is limited to the foreign-status materials and components and finished products described in the notification and subsequently authorized by the FTZ Board.

Zone Actions. The FTZ Board has approved the reorganization of FTZ 74 under the alternative site framework to include Howard and Queen Ann’s counties in Maryland.

The FTZ Board has received from The Economic Development Council for the Peoria Area, grantee of FTZ 114, a request for subzone status for the Winpak Heat Seal Corporation facility in Pekin, Ill. Comments are due no later than Nov. 26. A notification of proposed production activity at this facility will be submitted later.

The FTZ Board has approved the expansion of subzone 116A to include an additional site in Port Arthur, Texas, that would include several pipelines.
