Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

Textile Flock Facility. In October 2016 the Foreign-Trade Zones Board received from Claremont Flock, a division of Spectro Coating Corporation, a notification of proposed production activity at its facility within subzone 27N in Leominster, Mass. Claremont Flock already has authority to produce textile flock using acrylic and rayon tow within subzone 27N and sought to add polyester tow as a material/component to the scope of authority.

However, the Board has determined that further review of this proposal is warranted and has therefore not authorized the proposed activity. The Board states that if the applicant still wishes to seek authorization it will need to submit an application for production authority.

Utah Subzone. The FTZ Board has received from the Salt Lake City Corporation, grantee of FTZ 30, a request for subzone status for the Scott USA Inc. facility in Ogden, Utah. No authorization for production activity at this facility has been requested at this time. Comments on this request are due no later than March 28.
