FTZ Board Considers Subzone Requests, OKs Michigan Zone Activity Expansion

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board is seeking comments no later than Dec. 19 on the following requests.

- The Greater Dayton Foreign-Trade Zone Inc., grantee of FTZ 100, is requesting expanded subzone status for the Thor Industries Inc. facilities in Jackson Center, Ohio.

- CODEZOL, C.D., grantee of FTZ 163, is requesting subzone status for the AxisCare Health Logistics Inc. facility in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico.

- The Port of South Louisiana, grantee of FTZ 124, is requesting subzone status for the Danos & Curole Marine Contractors LLC facility in Morgan City, La.

Separately, the FTZ Board has authorized an expansion of production under zone procedures at the Southern Lithoplate Inc. facilities in Grand Rapids, Mich. SLP already had authority to produce aluminum offset printing plates for the printing industry at this facility and the FTZ Board has now added foreign status materials/components for photographic purposes to the scope of authority.
