FTZ Board Considers New Subzone, Production Requests

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board is accepting comments through July 11 on the following.

- McAllen Foreign Trade Zone Inc., grantee of FTZ 12, is requesting subzone status for the Universal Metal Products Inc. facility in Pharr, Texas. No authorization for production activity has been requested at this time.

- Bell Sports Inc. already has authority to produce certain sports equipment at its facility within subzone 114F in Rantoul, Ill., and is requesting to add foreign status materials and components to the scope of authority.

- Hans-Mill Corporation, operator of subzone 64D in Jacksonville, Fla., has submitted a notification of proposed production activity for its facility within this subzone, which is used for the production of household trash cans and plastic storage totes.
