FTZ Board Considers Two New Subzones in Texas

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the Metroplex International Trade Development Corporation, grantee of FZ 168, a request for subzone status at the Schumacher Electric Corporation facility in Fort Worth, Texas. No authorization for production activity at this facility has yet been requested. Comments on this request are due no later than Dec. 3.

The FTZ Board has received from the Port of Houston Authority, grantee of FTZ 84, a request for subzone status at the BAUER-Pileco Inc. facility in Conroe, Texas. The company would be able to conduct at this facility the production activity already authorized at the company’s existing facility in Conroe, and no additional authorization for production activity has been requested at this time. Comments on this request are due no later than Dec. 4.
