FTZ Board Expands Two Zones, Considers Production and Subzone Requests

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has approved the expansion of the service area of FTZ 244 to include a portion of the City of Lake Elsinore, Calif., adjacent to the Los Angeles/Long Beach U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry.

The FTZ Board has approved the expansion of the service area of FTZ 93 to include Wilson County, N.C., adjacent to the Raleigh-Durham CBP port of entry.

The FTZ Board has received from the Eastern Distribution Center Inc., grantee of FTZ 24, a request for subzone status for the Brake Parts Inc. facility in Hazleton, Pa. Comments on this request are due no later than Jan. 9. A notification of proposed production activity at this facility has been submitted and will be published separately for public comment.

The FTZ Board has received from Mississippi Coast Foreign Trade Zone Inc., grantee of FTZ 92, a request for subzone status for the TopShip LLC facility in Gulfport, Miss. Comments on this request are due no later than Jan. 9. A notification of proposed production activity at this facility has been submitted.
