FTZ Board Considers Production and Subzone Requests, Authorizes New Subzone

Oil Drilling Equipment. The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the City of Conroe, Texas, grantee of FTZ 265, a notification of proposed production activity at the Bauer Manufacturing LLC dba NEORig (Bauer) facility in Conroe. Bauer already has authority to produce pile drivers and leads, boring machinery, foundation construction equipment, foundation casings and related parts and sub-assemblies, tools and accessories for pile drivers, and stationary oil/gas drilling rigs and related subassemblies within site 1 of FTZ 265. The current request would add foreign status materials and components to the scope of authority. Comments are due no later than April 10.

Puerto Rico Subzones. The FTZ Board is accepting comments through April 10 on separate requests from CODEZOL C.D., grantee of FTZ 163, for subzone status for (a) the Caribe Rx Services Inc. facility in Caguas, Puerto Rico, (b) the Destilería Serrallés Inc. facilities in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and (c) the R. Ortiz Auto Distributors Inc. facility in Caguas, Puerto Rico. No authorizations for production activity have been requested at this time.

Pennsylvania Subzone. The FTZ Board has approved the establishment of subzone 24E at the Brake Parts Inc. facility in Hazleton, Pa.
