Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has approved production under zone procedures at the Helix Steel facilities in Grand Rapids, Mich., which are used for the production of twisted steel micro rebar.

The FTZ Board has received from the Metroplex International Trade Development Corporation, grantee of FTZ 168, a notification of proposed production activity at the Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation facilities in Dallas, Texas. Gulfstream already has authority to produce passenger jet aircraft within subzone 168E and the current request involves the removal of items from finished aircraft and would add finished products and a foreign status material or component to the scope of authority. Comments on this notification are due by Jan. 28.
