Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has authorized an expansion of production authority at the Volkswagen Group of America – Chattanooga Operations LLC facility within FTZ 134 in Chattanooga, Tenn. VW already had authority to produce passenger motor vehicles within this zone and the Board has now added foreign-status materials and components to the scope of authority.

The FTZ Board is accepting comments by March 26 on requests from (a) the St. Louis County Port Authority, grantee of FTZ 102, for subzone status for the Orgill Inc. facility in Sikeston, Mo., and (b) the Bridgeport Port Authority, grantee of FTZ 76, for subzone status for the SDI USA LLC facilities in Meriden, Conn. No authorization for production activity has been requested at this time in either case.
