Copiers and Printers. The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has approved production activity under zone procedures at the Canon Virginia Inc. facility within subzone 20D in Newport News, Va. Canon already had authority to produce a range of printers, copiers, and their parts and supplies, including toner, toner cartridges, toner bottles, and cartridge parts, at this facility, and the FTZ Board has now added foreign-status materials and components to the scope of authority.

Digital Printing Plates. The FTZ Board has received a notification of proposed production activity at the AGFA Corporation facility within FTZ 44 in Branchburg, N.J., which is used for the production of aluminum digital printing plates used in the commercial printing industry. Comments on this notification are due no later than Feb. 17. A separate application for subzone designation at this facility has been submitted.

Consumer Electronics. The FTZ Board has received from the City of Mesa Office of Economic Development, grantee of FTZ 221, a notification of proposed production activity at the Apple Inc. facility within subzone 221A in Mesa, Ariz. Apple already has authority to produce certain components for consumer electronics within this facility and the current request would add finished products and foreign status materials/components to the scope of authority. Comments are due no later than Feb. 17.
